The 30th edition of the renowned Écrans Noirs festival took place from September 10 to 18, 2026, in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
This edition focused on a crucial issue for the industry: "The challenges of distributing African cinema on and outside the continent." Emphasis was placed on the necessary strategies to circulate works so that they can finally reach their audience and become more profitable.
Brazil was the guest of honor for this edition, creating a strong cultural bridge between Brazilian cinema (especially Afro-descendant) and the African continent.
The festival was mainly held across two venues in the Cameroonian capital:
The cultural complex of the University of Yaoundé I (formerly Canal Olympia), which also hosted the Festival Village.
