PRESS RELEASE announcing the 26th edition of the Festival Ecrans Noirs.
Under the theme: “Cinema, a total art”, the 26th edition of the Ecrans Noirs Film Festival is announced from October 1 to 8 in Yaoundé, with a relocation to Douala, from November 2 to 4, 2022 .
The opening and closing ceremonies, with red carpet steps and
live broadcast on crtv, will take place at the Palais des Congrès on October 1st and 8th as from 6 p.m.
The National Museum will house the festival village in the capital city, with various
exhibition stands on cinema and ancillary and related activities, the 6th edition of
the Central African Film Market (MIFAC), the symposium international, Various training courses
including a film criticism workshop, as well as daily screenings of films
for children, as part of the Kids cinema corner . Every evening, in the festival village, in addition
to an open-air film screening, there will be a very high-level musical set, including a competition
of the main stars of Mbole.
Also on the program for this edition, long and short film competitions
films, national and international. Hundreds of new cinematographic works
will thus be offered free of charge to moviegoers.
Hundreds of professionals of the 7th art and audiovisual are already announced at this
event whose eponymous Association which organizes it has been recognized as being of public utility by
Presidential Decree No 2016/219 of April 28, 2016. Important institutions public and
private, as various media and commercial partners are associated with its
organization.
The press conference presenting the activities of the 26th of the
Black Screens International Film Festival will take place on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 2 p.m. at
the CRTV radio station, in the new conference room on the 6th floor equipped for a
live broadcast and simultaneous translation, inaugurated on the occasion of the CAN.
